The Centre for Cities was launched at the Jerwood Space in London on 22 March. The event was attended by 100 partners from business, government and the third sector.

David Miliband MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office, gave the keynote address. Liz Reynolds, Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, spoke about US/UK urban policy comparisons. And Lord Sainsbury of Turville, the Centre's principal funder and supporter, welcomed the launch of the Centre.
