This NLGN conference looked at the debate currently influencing government thinking on city-region structures. It considered whether these frameworks should use existing or new structures and effective frameworks for rural and less urbanised areas. Topics to be covered included the city-regions framework, the economic case for city-regions, and the implications of city-regions for local and regional governance.
