The Summit for American Prosperity: Washington and Metropolitan Areas Working Together
Date: 11/06/2008
End Date: 12/06/2008
On Wednesday night June 11 and all day Thursday, June 12, 2008, Brookings's Metropolitan Policy Program will host The Summit for American Prosperity: Washington and Metropolitan Areas Working Together, taking place at the Washington Hilton.
This Summit launches the policy phase of Brookings's Blueprint for American Prosperity: Unleashing the Potential of a Metropolitan Nation, an ambitious, multi-year initiative to build long-term U.S. prosperity by reinvigorating the federal role in promoting the health and vitality of America's metropolitan areas. This Summit will build on the Blueprint's earlier efforts to show how the nation's assets are concentrated in our metro areas, which are the engines of the U.S. and global economy.
Dermot Finch will be speaking at a session on Creating Quality Places: Making Housing Part of the Sustainability Solution.
