End Date: 23/07/2009
On day one of this three day conference in Salford, Dermot Finch will introduce a panel debate on where global economic policy is taking UK cities.
This debate will provide new insights into growth and prosperity. Focusing on how cities and regions can mature in developed economies, the session will look at finding competitive advantage and discuss how global economic decision-making - and the medium-term economic outlook - impacts at a regional level.
Other speakers confirmed for over the three days include Rt Hon Lord Peter Mandelson, Jim O'Neill (Goldman Sachs), Lord Peter Smith (AGMA), Richard Leese and Howard Bernstein (Manchester City Council) and Michael Ward (BURA).
