Jan Ormondroyd

Chief Executive, Bristol City Council

Jan joined Bristol City Council at the end of March 2008.  She has a challenging agenda to ensure the city’s ambition to be a prosperous, modern city are realised through working in partnership and transforming the organisation to bring about a ‘One Council’ culture.

During her time in Bristol Jan has engaged with the Core Cities agenda to position Bristol as the driver of the economy in the sub region.  Bristol's ambition is to become a smart, knowledge driven economy where creativity, green, digital and science technologies are at the heart of moving forward.

Before taking up the position of Chief Executive at Bristol City Council, Jan was Deputy Chief Executive at Hull City Council for three years.
